Sean worked with personal injury attorney, Robert Clifford, on a high-profile case in Cook County Circuit Court, which resulted in a $15.8 million verdict in October 2006, involving an 18-year-old teenager who was left permanently brain damaged after being struck by a YMCA van in a south suburb of Chicago. The case initially was tried by another law firm and a jury reached a not guilty verdict. The trial judge reversed that decision based upon the misconduct of the defense counsel in that initial trial. He also settled a case for $2.6 million on behalf of a trucker who sustained fractures to his lower extremity at the Philadelphia airport. Sean was also part of a team of personal injury lawyers that settled a case for $11.4 million on behalf of a worker who suffered a fractured pelvis and significant internal injuries at a Union Pacific yard. He also assisted in settling a case for $2 million on behalf of a Cook County worker who suffered a fractured hip and shoulder after a speeding Metra train derailed. Sean settled the case for a lubricant worker who sustained burns to 17 percent of his body in a truck explosion in Indiana for $1.25 million.
