Fred Herman Bio
Fred L. Herman graduated from Loyola University College of Law in 1975. He was a partner with the law firm of Herman, Herman & Katz, a civil litigation and general civil practice firm, through 1987, when he established the Law Offices of Fred L. Herman. Fred founded his personal practice with special emphasis on litigation, business transactions and alternative dispute resolution. He served as Chief Negotiator for Tom Benson for the acquisition of the city’s NFL franchise, the New Orleans Saints. Fred also served as legal advisor to Rob Couhig in his sale of the New Orleans Zephyrs minor league baseball addition to his law practice, Fred is a regular Lecturer at Loyola University College of Law, Skills Curriculum, and was on the Tulane School of Law Trial Advocacy Faculty. He has served as judge pro tempore in First City Court, and has been an arbitrator and mediator in over 300 civil is a member of the ADR Section of Louisiana State Bar Association, Fred is a member of the ADR Section of Louisiana State Bar Association as well as the American Arbitration Association and the American Healthcare Lawyer’s Association. Fred Herman has been selected to Super Lawyers (2008-2014) and Best Lawyers (2014) and is a Martindale-Hubbell® AV-rated Preeminent Lawyer.
