Mr. Davis is a respected elder law attorney with over thirty years experience dealing with the legal issues of the elderly, the disabled and their families. His practice focuses on Medicaid and estate planning. A frequent public speaker on the topics of Medicaid, special needs trusts, and estate planning, Mr. Davis has been invited to present programs for many organizations including the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the American Cancer Society, the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC), the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA), the National Association of the Mentally Ill (NAMI), as well as other groups dealing with the senior and disabled communities. Mr. Davis’s recognized expertise makes him a sought after instructor for continuing education classes concerning Medicaid, special needs trusts and estate planning for lawyers, accountants, insurance agents, trust officers, nursing home administrators, and other professionals. Having drafted the only pooled special needs trusts operated in Wyoming, Mr. Davis served on the Board of Directors of the Wyoming Guardianship Corporation (WGC) and its pooled trust committee for eleven years. He is a former Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of Wyoming and is a member of the Trust Special Interest Group of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Wyoming State Bar Estate Planning, Elder Law, Trust and Probate Section where he servd as Chairman in 2018-2019. Mr. Davis served on the Wyoming Governor's Task Force on Elder and Vulnerable Adults in 2017 and was instrumental in the adoption of the Uniform Power of Attorney Act (UPOAA) in Wyoming.
