In over ten years of practice and with Mastantuono & Coffee since 2005, Attorney Coffee has gained recognition as a leader in the criminal defense bar, winning an impressive string of consecutive jury trial acquittals. Her practice focuses on representing people accused of crime in State, Federal and Municipal Courts throughout Wisconsin, including handling investigations and pending cases. Attorney Coffee has represented clients in several high profile cases involving firearms and gun related legal issues, including concealed carry prohibitions (CCW), open carry, Castle Doctrine, and property return. Attorney Coffee has also litigated cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Attorney Coffee is on the Board of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is the past Board Chair and current member of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Criminal Law Section, which is made up of and represents judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys throughout Wisconsin. The Board addresses proposed State legislation and policy issues effecting Wisconsin’s criminal justice system.. Attorney Coffee was previously a staff attorney at the American Bar Association Death Penalty Representation Project in Washington, DC, assisting capital defenders in death row cases. She received her law degree from Marquette University Law School, and her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee.
