After law school, I became a deputy public defender, quickly gaining real-world experience to back up the skills I had built in law school by successfully competing in mock trial and moot court. I was able to quickly hone my courtroom skills by representing criminal defendants at all stages of the criminal process, winning nearly 2/3 of all my jury trials. After leaving the public defender's office, I started taking on private criminal defense matters and civil cases. I handle all types of trials from employment law disputes to financial elder abuse to probate disputes to murder. In fact, I also take over cases from other attorneys right before trial when it becomes clear a matter is not going to settle and the current attorney does not want to take the case to trial..
