I enjoy working with individuals, families and business on all matters pertaining to immigration. I use my knowledge of economics, law, history and psychology to understand the legal, human and political contexts of each client’s legal problems.. I bring skill, energy, and passion to find solutions for people from different countries and cultural backgrounds to obtain legal status in the United States.. I work with clients on a variety of matters, including work, business and family visas; family petitions; adjustment of status; removal of conditions; naturalization; U visas; work permits; deferred action (DACA); R-1 religious worker visas; asylum petitions; and waivers.. My most common cases include obtaining legal residency “green cards” for family members, securing waivers for illegal presence, removal of spousal visa conditions after divorce, and deferred actions and temporary status based on humanitarian relief, among others.. I studied law and started my practice in Colombia, where I worked for seven years. I also earned a Masters in Business Administration to better assist companies of all sizes in their growth plans, which often include immigration issues.. I volunteer for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Program and am a member of the National Women MBAs and the Latina Bar Association.. I am fluent in Spanish and English.
