Kelly spent over 2 years supervising and training new attorneys. In the last 5 years alone, Kelly has sucessfully handled a wide range of complex criminal and civil . Canary won a 2nd Degree Murder trial, 3 Sexually Violent Predator trials, a failure to register trial and a .27 DUI and many others.. She was also the recipient of the 2019 Irving Schwartz scholarship the National Criminal Defense College. While at NCDC, Kelly learned to take her trial practice to the next level.. Kelly is ready to put her enthusiasm and expertise to work on any legal issues you may face.. Kelly has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 35 years. She attended the University of Washington both as an undergraduate, and for her law degree. While in law school, Kelly interned at the Federal Defenders of Western Washington, the Innocence Project in New York, and the Washington Appellate Project, where she wrote criminal appeals.. Kelly is also a longtime community advocate. She is currently the board president at the Washington Innocence Project, and is a former board member of the Post-Prison Education Program.. Kelly has been asked to testify as an expert in front of the WA State legislature, handled all cases in In Washington state where the FBI offered false testimony at trial regarding bullet lead analysis, and has also presented on the National Academy of Sciences report.
