I am in my 19th year of the practice of law. I spent my first two years of my career as a prosecutor with the Lake County State’s Attorneys Office. For the last 17 years I have almost exclusively practiced in the area of workers compensation. I do also handle criminal cases for clients in need.. I began my workers compensation career defending Employers and Insurance companies against such claims. However, for the past 4 years, I have “put on the white hat” and devoted all of my efforts to representing the Rights of Injured Workers. My time defending workers compensation claims and working with the insurance companies has given me invaluable insight into the “tricks and traps” the insurance companies perpetrate on the injured worker. Insurance companies have highly qualified attorneys representing their interests, and having been one I know how to best defeat them. One of my main goals is to sufficiently educate my clients so that they understand all aspects of their case. Because only an informed client can truly decide what is the best decision for them given all the circumstances of their case.. My prosecutorial experience has given me an excellent investigative sense and an aggressive courtroom style. I not only have the experience to aggressively handle cases, but also have the ability to recognize what is in the best interest of each client and assertively manage case to meet it.. I have extensive experience before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission and have become a respected member of this exclusive legal community. I have been previously selected by my peers as a “Rising Star” within the Top 2.5 percent of lawyers concentrating in the area of workers compensation law. I have been a long time member of the Illinois Workers Compensation Lawyers Association.. I was born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1971 and grew up in Wadsworth, Illinois where I attended St. Patrick’s grade school. I went on to high school and graduated from Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois. In 1990, I went off to Michigan State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Pre-Law. I received my Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 1998.  I was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois in 1998 and was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 1999.
