Mr. Jonathan K. Joyner was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a B.A. in Business. While at Southwestern University, Jonathan obtained a summer internship in San Antonio working for a San Antonio criminal defense firm.  During those summers, Jonathan learned how to be an effective criminal defense attorney, how to aggressively advocate on behalf of his clients and how to deliver quality legal services.  Jonathan also learned how important it was to have open lines of communication with his clients and to this day, all of his clients have direct access to him. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Jonathan moved to East Lansing, Michigan where he attended Michigan State University College of Law.. While in law school, Jonathan completed a clinical program at Michigan State University College of Law where he had the opportunity to work on various legal issues and learned how to effectively represent his clients.  After earning his Juris Doctor, Jonathan became a licensed attorney in the State of Texas in 2008.. Anyone facing an allegation that they have violated a criminal law needs a strong and knowledgeable criminal defense attorney they can respect and trust. Money, jail time and even someone’s life may be on the line and a criminal lawyer has to be trusted to fight hard for his client’s best interests.
