J. ERIC CHISHOLM received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Salem State College and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School. He was an enlisted member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1995 until 2001. While attending Suffolk University Law School, Eric was a member of the Voluntary Prosecutor’s Clinic representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a 3.03 certified Assistant District Attorney where he obtained direct and valuable courtroom experience.. Eric began his legal career working for a national Social Security Disability firm representing claimants throughout the country filing for SSDI benefits. From there, he moved onto one of the more prestigious workers’ compensation insurance defense firms in Massachusetts representing large insurance companies and self-insured entities. Craving a return to helping those in need, and with the direct knowledge of how insurance companies operate, Eric transitioned to a boutique downtown Boston employee/plaintiff workers compensation firm and remained there for over a decade. During his tenure there, Eric received industry wide recognition for his work helping injured workers with an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell, a 10.0 rating from AVVO, and was also recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as one of the best workers’ compensation attorneys in the Commonwealth under 40 years old from 2008-2012*. (*Rising Stars).. in 2018, with nearly 15 years of knowledge, Eric decided to hang his own shingle and form Chisholm Law LLC - a boutique law firm with a focus on assiting those who have been injured.
