He was the Director of the 2005 IADC Trial Academy and served on the faculty of the 1997 IADC Trial Academy. Mr. Campbell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, serves on its National Board of Directors, and is a past President of the Massachusetts Chapter of ABOTA. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute's Board of Directors and a former member of the steering committees of DRI's Products Liability Committee and Trial Tactics Committee. Mr. Campbell previously served as the Director of the ABA TIPS 2003 Trial Academy and faculty member for the 2001 Trial Academy. Mr. Campbell is also a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Association of Defense Trial Lawyers and a former president of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.. Mr. Campbell is the co-author of a Defense Research Institute monograph regarding the duty to warn and authored a chapter concerning the discoverability of post-accident design changes in product liability actions for the DRI's Pre-Trial Handbook. As an editor and contributing author, he assisted in producing two chapters for the DRI's 50 state compendium of defenses to product liability cases. He has lectured on products liability at numerous national seminars and before trade associations.
