I am an experienced business attorney, general counsel and corporate secretary.. For nine years I served as general counsel and corporate secretary to a technology sector NASDAQ corporation. During my tenure with the company I helped it grow through the start-up cycle of capital infusion, research and development into a multinational company with five hundred employees and offices in the US and in Europe and Asia. I had a significant role in overseeing an intellectual property portfolio of patents, trademarks, and copyrights, worldwide. I managed the day-to-day business and legal issues, supervised the legal and administrative team, and was responsible for oversight of the organization’s risk management, contract negotiation, employment and trade secret protection, and corporate governance.. I currently run my own legal practice acting for clients on a variety of small to complex legal, business, and government challenges and opportunities, in a wide range of industries and fields, including entertainment, high technology, sales and distribution, and finance. I represent entrepreneurs, management, and boards at all stages of the business cycle from business formation, through to capitalization, development, commercialization, and growth. I enjoy acting in the role of external general counsel for my clients giving them the benefit of a legal advisor whose attention remains firmly fixed on the big picture goals of their business.
