Annemarie Pantazis is a Board Certified North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Specialist, a distinction held by a select few North Carolina lawyers.. Ms. Pantazis is a nationally recognized attorney and has received many honors and awards during her time practicing law, including recognition in several categories as a Best of the Best North Carolina Super Lawyer in 2015-2021. She is the author of several publications on workers’ compensation, is regularly invited to speak as an expert in North Carolina workers' compensation law, and teaches continuing legal education classes on the subject. She is currently in leadership with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice as the Workers' Compensation Section Chair over the 2017-2018 term. She currently co-chairs the NC State Bar Workers' Compensation Specialization Committee-which is responsible for drafting and grading the workers' compensation specialist exam.. Ms. Pantazis earned her B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 1994, and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1999, where she was a published member of the Wake Forest Law Review and Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. After law school, Ms. Pantazis joined a firm defending workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. In 2002, Ms. Pantazis exited from the defense side of the practice and has devoted her efforts over the last 20 years to representing those who have suffered work-related and other injuries in North Carolina..
