Russell Blythe is a partner in King & Spalding's Atlanta office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling with a primary emphasis on patent litigation. He has represented a number of Fortune 100 and other clients in patent infringement lawsuits in federal district courts across the United States, including cases involving oil & gas, mechanical devices, optical systems, fluid mechanics, polymer chemistry, and telecommunications. He has successfully argued Markman and summary judgment hearings and has jury trial experience, including direct and cross examination of expert witnesses. Mr. Blythe also applies his technical and legal skills in complex false advertising matters. Mr. Blythe has particular expertise in the area of advertising litigation related to greenwashing and the use of environmental statements.Mr. Blythe graduated with high honors from Georgia Tech and is registered to practice as a Patent Attorney before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. He received his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated, magna cum laude, and was on the Georgia Law Review. He has served as faculty for the Emory Trial Techniques program, completed the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's National Session program, and is a member of the Atlanta IP Inn of Court.
