He received his legal education at the University of Minnesota Law School, which is consistently ranked among the top 20 law schools in the United States. He graduated with honors in 2005 and was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar that same year.. During college, he was consistently recognized for his outstanding skills in trial advocacy. He earned a number of awards at national and local tournaments for his skill as an attorney in college mock trial, and participated in the national tournament each year he competed. During the last year of college and for three years prior to attending law school, Mr. Bushnell worked in several law firms and gained a wide variety of experience with legal practice and procedure.
