After earning his J.D. from The George Washington University, he served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of Captain, prosecuted courts-martial and administrative hearings, managed the largest Marine Corps prosecution office, and deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Transitioning to civilian life in 2013, Peter tried criminal cases as a Deputy District Attorney at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.
