Who Am I? I am an honors graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, and I've been helping people and businesses with financial problems for over 30 years. In that time I’ve represented thousands of people, helping them get back on the road to financial success.. I speak all over the country about bankruptcy, to judges, trustees and attorneys, am Maryland State Chair for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and on the Board of Directors of the Maryland State Bar Consumer Bankruptcy Council. I have testified twice before the U.S. Congress, once on the problems credit cards cause consumers, and once about student loan issues. My friend and colleague, Daniel Press, and I recently finished a book, Chapter 11 for Individual Debtors, which has been published by LexisNexis. We teach other attorneys around the country how to handle individual Chapter 11 cases through our Chapter 11 Boot Camps. We have also recorded a 13-hour Basic Bankruptcy Training video series. n 2011, I was awarded the prestigious National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Distinguished Service Award, for my work over the past 30 years..
