His military career included service as a prosecutor and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, as a legal advisor for a peace-keeping task force in Egypt (1999-2000), and a company command as a Tactical Psychological Operations officer during a combat tour in Baghdad, Iraq (2005-2006)..
