Terry began his legal career in Buffalo, New York in 1976. Upon moving to Albuquerque, Terry worked as an assistant district attorney, which made him a constant presence in the courtroom. In 1979, Terry reentered private practice focused on personal injury and real estate law. He shifted to full-time personal injury and medical malpractice litigation in 1988.. In addition to practicing law, Terry is a dedicated volunteer in the Albuquerque community. Terry has been the Charter President of the Uptown Optimist Club and of his neighborhood association.
