James F. Anderson was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. He attended George Mason University's School of Law, where he focused his studies on estate planning, contracts, business law, and tax law; earning his J.D. in 2008. In law school, he participated in the Legal Clinic for Assistance to Service Members and Veterans and continued to assist the Legal Clinic as a supervising attorney after graduation.
