Hasten began practicing law with a large firm in 1988, upon graduation from law
school.  After three years, Mr. Hasten
formed his own firm primarily representing insurance carriers in subrogation
and workers’ compensation matters.. Mr. Hasten has developed a substantial reputation
throughout Texas
as an expert in handling property subrogation matters, especially in complex fire
losses. Mr. Hasten has particular expertise in fire cause and origin investigations.  For the past five years, Mr. Hasten has been
asked to teach classes by the International Association of Arson Investigators
(IAAI) for certification of firefighters as investigators.. In March 2011, Mr. Hasten was awarded the prestigious
John R. Rauch Award by the Texas IAAI for his years of dedication and teaching
on fire cause and origin throughout the State of Texas.. Mr. Hasten has handled property and auto subrogation throughout
the State of Texas
over the course of his twenty-two years of practicing law.. Mr. Hasten has also handled a large range of workers’
compensation matters since 1988, including cases under the “pre 1990 old law.”
