When I was small I suffered injustices, since then I made an oath to be a lawyer to defend noble causes, protecting the needy and bring back those who have lost their track. I try to balance my life between hard work, pro bono, child and house. Patience is one of my challenges because I always want things done on time, fast and no excuses..

Serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, Gerald J. Smith became a decorated airman who unselfishly fought all over the world for his country.. He devoted many years in the Pacific and European theaters performing operations in logistic units contributed to assorted military campaigns between 1980 and 2000, including Iranian Hostage Crisis, Desert Calm, Desert Storm, and the Bosnia conflict under NATO. He retired in 2000 as the International Military Student Officer at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. Today, he still believes in God, country, mission and family--before self.. Gerald J. Contested and uncontested probate and guardianships and estate planning for flat fees when possible. Offices in Dallas and Tarrant Counties.. We are a full-service probate firm -- including estate planning, guardianship, and probate. We strive to take the fear and unpredictability out of the legal process by being clear on our services and setting flat-fees whenever possible. We handle both planning and contests so we see, from first-hand experience, how to plan to avoid problems. Our goal is achieve the best result for the client, whether that means trial or resolution. In probate matters, the issue is always how to get the needed result for the least cost. To give clients ease of mind, we use flat-fee arrangements in almost all non-contested matters. In contested matters, we carefully work with clients to understand their goals, their budget, and pursue the strategy that gives that result. Many "probate" lawyers know the rules, but don't know how to win cases before a jury. If there is any chance that your case will be contested, I urge you to find a lawyer, like me, who is ready to win your case in court but willing to consider out-of-court settlement when appropriate.
