After graduation, I returned home and attended Mercer where I obtained my Law degree.  While at Mercer I worked for The Witterman Firm, a small Roswell firm with a specialty in Business and Construction Law.  I also clerked for Hill, Kertscher, and Wharton, where I worked on specialized civil matters in the areas of Intellectual Property, Employment, Corporate Shareholder disputes, and Workers Compensation.. I was also provided a "behind the scenes" look at the operation of both the criminal and civil systems when I had the opportunity to work for The Honorable Judge Ben Studdard at Henry County State Court.  While there, I was able to view and participate in the interworkings of everything from DUI's to speeding tickets, to landlord tenant disputes to breach of contract from the Judge's chambers!. For 7 years I  worked as an Insurance Defense attorney where I became an expert in both insurance defense and workplace injuries, while fine tuning my Criminal Law practice..
