I graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. My Law degree is from the University of Puget Sound Law School (now Seattle University). My current practice areas are Family Law and Bankruptcy.. As an attorney, I have over 40 years of experience, which includes working for government agencies as a prosecutor for 12 years for municipal, district, juvenile, and superior court. For 20 years, I ran my own law office with an emphasis on real estate, probate, family law, bankruptcy, and commercial law. My practice involved most areas of litigation and I have represented clients at all levels in civil and administrative courts, appeals and hearing boards. For 10 years, I sat as a part-time pro-tem judge in municipal and district courts. For four years, I was a part-time college professor teaching Introduction to Business Law, Business Law II, and Human Resource Management related to Personnel Law (graduate level course).. I have served as past president of Island County and Grays Harbor County Bar Associations, a member of Toastmasters, Secretary of the Mason County Bar Association and I have received intense formal training at various seminars on domestic violence and forensics..
