Stewart D. Cables is a founding partner of Hassan and Cables.  Stewart specializes in general business representation and a variety of trial work.  Stewart's practice areas include complex civil litigation, employment law, criminal and DUI defense, transactional work for corporations and LLCs, and counsel for non-profit entities.  Prior to forming Hassan and Cables, Stewart founded and managed the Cables Law Office and worked as "Of Counsel" to John N. Stewart completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.  Stewart also holds both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Management from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business.  Prior to graduate school Stewart completed his B.A. in History at the University of Colorado in Boulder.. Stewart takes a common sense approach when advising his clients; his experience, education and relationships provide him with the ability to handle an array of legal issues, including complex matters that require a personal touch.

I have been a part time CO resident my whole life and full time resident for over 10 years now.  I have a beautiful wife and the cutest daughter any dad could ask for.  When my work schedule allows in the Winter, I enjoy getting up to the mountains and skiing which I have been doing since I was 3 years old.  I am also huge fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and Denver Broncos.. My passion is the defense of those who have been accused of a crime.  I have always been enamored with the Criminal Justice System and have worked throughout college, law school and now throughout my professional career to help those who have found themselves accused of some wrongdoing by the government.  Aside from my criminal defense work, I am an advocate for social justice and fight for equality for ALL in their daily lives.  Essentially, I want a world where people can enjoy a peaceful existence with one another.... and am willing to fight (in court and through social justice initiatives) to get that peace.

I became an attorney in order to protect the rights of ordinary citizens accused of crimes.  My practice has always been limited to criminal defense because I believe that a criminal accusation is a life-changing event, and that unwavering defense against criminal charges is best accomplished by an attorney whose legal career has been dedicated to criminal defense.  I know that criminal charges can affect everything from your family life, to your permanent record, to your professional security.  I believe that good legal representation includes more than just knowledge of the law.  A good lawyer must be a good listener, willing to work cooperatively with clients to help define their goals and create a roadmap to reach them.
