Lena J. Marderosian is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (History and minor in English Literature). She obtained her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law and graduated on the Dean's List. She began her legal career in 1982 in a criminal defense firm handling various misdemeanor and felony cases and was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court Penal Code Section Panel of Attorneys for Indigent Defendants. In 2005, Amber graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in English and Legal Studies. Throughout her undergraduate education, Amber worked as a legal assistant for an elder abuse attorney and assisted another attorney in preparing for trial. Amber received a lot of work that most attorneys would not trust a legal assistant with, and these opportunities inspired Amber to pursue law. During this time, Amber also found inspiration in her grandmother who lived in a nursing home in Hawaii. I attended Hood College in Frederick, MD, earning an B.A. in French and English Literature with a minor in Journalism.  I went on to attend the University of Wyoming College of Law earning a J.D. with a specialization in criminal law.  I successfully argued an appellate matter before the Wyoming Supreme Court in February 2003.. I extended my education to Paris, France post-graduation, attending the Université de Paris I, la Sorbonne, earning an LL.M. in French and European Community Law.. I passed the California Bar Exam in July 2003, immediately after graduation, but due to my European detour, could not be sworn in until January 2005..
