Born and raised in Nevada, Kyle graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009, and then obtained his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2013. Dedicated to the Northern Nevada community, Kyle returned to Carson City to begin his legal career clerking for the Honorable James E. Wilson, Jr. at Nevada’s First Judicial District Court. Thereafter, Kyle entered Reno’s legal community clerking for the Honorable Jerome M. Polaha at Nevada’s Second Judicial District Court before returning to serve his hometown community at Allison MacKenzie.

Karen joined the law offices of Allison MacKenzie in 1983.  Karen is admitted to practice in Nevada as well as the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada.  Her areas of practice include public utility law, administrative law, telecommunications law, wtaer law, litigation and business law.  Karen appears before the Department of Water Resources, Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, Department of Taxation and Division of Environmental Protection.  Karen is Judge Pro Tem for the Carson City Justice and Municpal Courts.   She is also active in Soroptimist International of Carson City, serving as President and other offices.

Prior to joining Allison MacKenzie, I served as the State of Nevada Labor Commissioner . I have extensive experience in the areas of wage and hour, labor and employment law, union issues, prevailing wage and public works. Additionally, I have a proven track record of engaging with the Nevada business community, including conducting numerous trainings on wage and hour compliance with small business groups.

I joined the team of Allison MacKenzie in 1992.  I am a native Nevada resident.  I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno and then obtained a law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1990.  I was admitted to practice in Nevada in 1990 and in California in 1991.  I support clients in all types of real estate development, including residential, industrial and commerical developments.  My experience in land use allows me to assist clients with regulations and project permitting before local government entities, state agencies and courts. I am involved with many local legal professional organizations.  I am involved with the Northern Nevada Development Authority, Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada, and Bishop Manougue High School.
