He was Honorably discharged in March of 2002 at the rank of Sergeant after serving 13 years. Michael attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and graduated in 1994 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. He was the Command Sergeant Major 7th Regiment Pershing Rifles. Michael is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Fraternity and Honor Society. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He served in student government while at Law School, graduating in 1996 with a Juris Doctorate. Michael is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Worker's Compensation Section. He is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He was also a member of the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel and Lawyers for Working Oklahomans where he serves on the CLE Board. Michael has given seminars and lectures for the Oklahoma Bar Association, numerous employers and employer groups, The Oklahoma Self Insured Association and the Oklahoma Safety Counsel. He has published numerous articles regarding various legal issues and specifically regarding Workers Compensation. Michael is an experienced trial lawyer having tried thousands of cases in his 18 years of practice.
