Stephen graduated cum laude from ASU School of Law.  While attending law school he clerked for three trial judges, and earned High ProBono distinction for work he completed in the victims’ rights advocacy clinic.. Among many awards, he received the Silver Beaver, the highest award given by the BSA Grand Canyon Council for his many years of excellent service.

I was born in Detroit, and raised in southeastern Michigan and northwestern Ohio, before moving to the desert southwest after graduation from college. I traded winter gray skies, cold and snow for sunshine warmth and annual withering summer heat. I have lived in Arizona since 1976, and graduated law school in 1983.. I am single, with three handsome & intelligent adult sons, and an eight-year old grandson, who keeps me busy trying to keep up with him. I  enjoy an active lifestyle, including: trave to new and interesting places; white-water rafting, camping and stream fishing for trout; playing and watching sports; reading and  talking with people, as I always want to better know and understand our world around us.
