Zachary began his community involvement through the Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2005.At Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC) Zachary continued his civic and community involvement through his work as a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Greek Life Judicial Board, Student Court (Chief Justice), Student Government Association and as a member of the Honor Committee.In law school Zachary continued to give back through his work with the ASL Cares animal welfare club as well as representing abused and neglected children as their Court Appointed Special Advocate in the 29th Judicial District of Virginia.In 2010, the voters of Pender County, NC elected Zachary to a term as a Soil and Water Conservation District Superintendent in a write in election. Zachary served in this capacity until leaving to pursue law school.Zachary began his legal career with the prestigious civil litgiation firm, Britton Law, P.A. in Fayetteville, NC but the desire to leave the "elevator lawyer" lifestyle and return to his home was so strong that Zachary left the firm for the Law Office of R.
