Ross Begelman is a member of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations. Mr. Begelman graduated in the top 5% of his class at Delaware School of Law at Widener University, in May of 1979. He then became a congressional aid in the United States House of Representatives. Early in my career I served as a judicial  law clerk for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court (federal court) in New Jersey.. My enire practice has been focussed on litigation - for personal injury matters and for divorce matters.. I was a certified trial attorney in New Jersey for over 25 yeasrs- something only about 5% of the lawyers in the state achieve.. In addition to my law practice, i have had a career of public service. I was a councilman in mount Laurel township for three years, Mayor for one year and a planning board member for two years.. I have also been involved with the youth of my community. i coached baseball for over seven years and was the director of the entire baseball program for two years. As director, i rzn a program with over 70 coaches, forty team and about 500 youngsters.. I have been teaching other lawyers how to be good trial lawyers for over ten years.  i have taught in NJ, CO, IL and NM.  I am also an adjunct professor at the Rutgers School of Law.. I have been fortunate to argue a number of cases in the appellate courts in New Jersey, including the New Jersey supreme Court.. I have been published in the family law area and have recently produced a guide to the new alimony law.

As a divorced mother of two, I'm passionate about getting others through their family issues in the most positive and economically advantageous way possible.  There is more than one way to divorce and the process is not one size fits all. In all family matters, lawyers need to consider the client's emotions, the personalities of the parties, the needs of the children and the assets involved in determining how to proceed.  Every case is unique, and the cost involved needs to be justified by the potential outcome. Going through my own divorce gave me a unique perspective that allows me to be compassionate and truly understand the need to fight for my clients who can't fight for themselves. I believe that this compassion and understanding is just as important as my 20 years of legal experience. I'm grateful to be in a profession where I can connect with people in such a meaningful way and help them in their time of need.
