Bradley B. Wilson - Personal Profile. Brad was born in Columbia, Missouri in 1965. He is a graduate of Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 1996, Brad received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the Northern Illinois University College of Law. While in law school, Brad was named to the Dean’s list each semester, awarded the Dean’s Scholarship for academic excellence in 1994-95 and 1995-96 and was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law II.. After graduating from law school, Brad was appointed to the position of Administrative Law Judge with the Illinois State Labor Relations Board. As an Administrative Law Judge with the ISLRB, Brad oversaw union certification and de-certification elections, presided over administrative hearings addressing disputes between organized labor organizations and the State of Illinois and drafted recommended findings and decisions for adoption by the Labor Relations Board.. From March,1998 through January, 2001, Brad represented the City of Springfield, Illinois as an associate corporation counsel. In that capacity, Brad was primarily responsible for handling the City’s Labor and Employment Law issues and cases, and acting as the legal advisor for the City’s Civil Service Commission. As an assistant corporation counsel, Brad also served as a City prosecutor responsible for enforcing zoning, health and environmental ordinances.. In February, 2001, Brad joined Gates Wise Schlosser & Goebel. A great portion of Brad’s practice is devoted to labor and employment law issues. Brad also represents  clients in civil cases, administrative proceedings and commercial litigation.  Brad has received Martindale-Hubbell's "BV-Distinguished" peer review rating.  His peers have also selected Brad as a Leading Lawyer in the areas of civil rights and employment law every year since 2012.. Brad resides in Springfield with his wife, Gail, and their sons, Ben and Zach. He is a member of the Springfield YMCA, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Foundation, the University of Missouri Alumni Association, and the Tiger Scholarship Fund. Brad also serves as a coach for several youth sports teams in Springfield.
