Pete Bergan is involved in all aspects of commercial real estate including financing, sales and acquisitions, development, zoning, leasing, and workouts and foreclosures. He has served as counsel to national and regional lenders on mortgage-backed loan originations for both portfolio lending and loans destined for securitization.. Pete has had the opportunity to represent large national lending groups with an emphasis on capital markets, conduit, and bank financing including mortgage-backed loan originations and securitizations. In his role as counsel to CMBS lenders, he also has had the opportunity to work closely with his clients and assist them in shaping practices and procedures.. Pete has represented investment banks, commercial banks, funds, and insurance companies on a variety of loan transactions for both securitizations and portfolios, including construction loan financings, loan syndications and participations, co-lending and senior/subordinate arrangements, and mezzanine finance. He has been out in the forefront of CMBS 2.0 and has been active in the development and negotiation of form loan documents for CMBS lenders. His experience extends to the workout, restructuring, and foreclosures of both securitized and portfolio commercial mortgage loans, and he has extensive experience working with special servicers.. Pete is a member of the American Bar Association and the Risk Management Association. He has written extensively on the FDIC and real estate loan workouts and foreclosures.

Mr. Wild focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, with an emphasis on development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing and joint venture work. He has extensive experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating all types of complex development, redevelopment and financing documents. Mr. Wild recently spent a significant portion of his time counseling clients in connection with the restructuring and repositioning of troubled real estate developments. He is currently very active in the formation and documentation of complex joint venture relationships, as well as multiple levels of private and public project financings, as part of large multi-phased development projects, in addition to the representation of clients in connection with large one-off and portfolio acquisitions.

Ed Herman’s law practice focuses on foreclosure and residential real estate.  Before going to law school, Ed was a residential realtor.  Ed is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he interrogated Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan.  He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service.  He is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, magna cum laude, Fordham University, and St. Ignatius High School.  Ed lives in Bay Village with his two daughters and his wife, Mindy Herman, who is his executive assistant.
