I am a lifelong resident of Kenton County, Kentucky. My wife Meredith and I live in Crestview Hills with our two children.. I graduatd from the University of Kentucky in 2000. While at UK, I was a pitcher on the Wildcats baseball team. I was named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll each semester at UK and earned my B.A. degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Political Science. I then earned my Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.. After graduating from law school, I began my career practicing personal injury law with my family's firm in Covington. I joined Rittgers & Rittgers in July 2021, where I focus my law practice on trucking litigation and other cases involving serious, catastrophic, life-altering injuries.. I served as a felony prosecutor for about three years in the Kenton Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. In that role, I successfully prosecuted many different kinds of criminals, including burglars, fugitives from justice, thieves, child abusers, animal abusers, and murderers.. I enjoy being active in my community and have a strong commitment to public service. I have spent a total of eighteen years as a volunteer with the American Youth Foundation (“AYF”), serving as a counselor and staff member at the organization’s annual National Leadership Conference in Shelby, Michigan. The mission of the AYF is to encourage and educate young people to find and develop their personal best, live a balanced life, and make a positive impact in their communities and the wider world. I also helped launch the A.J. Cohen Memorial Fund, an Ohio charity dedicated to educating high school and college students about fire safety and prevention.
