In addition to his trial practice there (taking two multi-million dollar cases to jury verdict in a year and a half and successfully defending another jury verdict on appeal), he was responsible for recruiting and for coordinating the efforts of all associates in that practice group.As a partner at Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck, Bill honed his trial practice skills, obtaining a number of jury verdicts in favor of his clients, mainly as defense counsel in product liability matters for large manufacturers of consumer products.

As a Faculty member of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, revised Department of Army Regulations in 1965, resulting in opening U.S. Military Academy to femaile candidates.. Reported by NY Times to have been the first Trial Lawyer in the United States to utilize video-taped testimony in a civil jury trial in State Court (1969-70) and in Federal Court (1971)..
