I was pre-med during undergrad and during my junior year my sister fell ill and passed which caused me to no longer want to practice medicine. I subsequently switched majors to Criminal Justice which then led me to law school, during which I clerked at a disability law firm. I’ve dedicated my practice to this field ever since. What gets me out of bed each day is knowing that I have a chance to help someone who is struggling mightily and very sick to gain much-needed medication and access to medical care, a roof over their head, food on the table, and maybe a few bucks in their pocket at the end of the day. I suppose this is my way of helping to spread some good in the world.
