Tim’s legal career was shaped by his love of education, a knack for numbers and a mentor who came in the form of a district court judge in South Carolina who was a close friend of his family. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Finance from the Moore School of Business, he continued his pursuit of education at law school in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. During his time in law school, Tim discovered that his natural fit was tax law and his career path was born.. After completing his Juris Doctor in 2010, Tim took, and passed, the bar exam in South Carolina. Shortly after taking the bar in South Carolina, Tim traveled to Denver to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. The LL.M. program at Denver is consistently ranked among the best in the country. Since he had been to Colorado on family ski trips as a child Tim felt Denver was a win/win choice given his love for the outdoors and the opportunity to receive a top-notch education. He completed his LL.M. degree in 2011 and has practiced law here ever since.. Tim joined Evans Case, LLP as an associate in May 2014. Prior to joining Evans Case, Tim practiced for a small firm in Parker, Colorado, and then moved on to regulatory and compliance work for a Fortune 500 Company.
