I was raised in the Greater Philadelphia area, and attended school at Temple University. I obtained my undergraduate and masters degrees there, and then moved to Dover, Delaware to teach physics and calculus at Wesley College. After several years, I went back to school. I attended Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, NJ and took and passed the Delaware bar in 1974. I worked at a local Dover law firm called Schmittinger & Rodriguez for a year and then started my own practice. I have been in practice in Dover, Delaware continuously since 1974.. I had three kids - Ben, Josh, and Rebecca. Ben became a lawyer, and now he is the managing partner of our law firm. Josh became an automotive racing engine designer and builder, and owns and operates High Horse Performance Racing in Smyrna, DE. And Rebecca became a teacher and obtained her Ed.D.. I really enjoy the practice of law. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to help people with their problems. And the breadth and variety of legal issues I deal with create a constant challenge, which I feel exhilarating.

Adam Perza is a partner of May & Perza, P.A. in Dover and maintains a legal practice that includes residential and commercial real estate transactions, mortgage refinancing, small business acquisitions, landlord/tenant litigation, liquor license acquisition and transfers, wills and estate preparation and probate, and Power Ball lottery prize management.. Professionally Adam is a past vice president of the Delaware Bar Association and past president of the Kent County Bar Association.  A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering degree, his Doctorate of Law was awarded by Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Prior to a career in law, Adam was an environmental engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.. In the community Adam was elected to Dover City Council in 2012 representing south Dover’s Second District.  He and his family are members of Holy Cross Parish in Dover and is a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
