I am an Information Technology and Privacy lawyer and serve as outside General Counsel to companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large, established businesses, working with each client on their unique business and legal needs. A Pennsylvania native, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Lightfeather Law, I spent the majority of my career in private practice and five years in house at one of the largest private corporations in the United States. Additionally, I spent almost a decade teaching at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad School of Law teaching litigation practice, negotiation workshop, and developing and teaching the Law School's pro bono Bankruptcy Law Clinic.. I am a trial lawyer, with roughly over thirteen years experience in the courtroom. I know that if you are looking for a criminal defense lawyer for yourself or a loved one, you are seeking results. Furthermore, if you do not have confidence in your lawyer, you will never have confidence in the results he obtains for you. I have numerous positive outcomes at trial, and I have negotiated hundreds of plea agreements, many of which have been remarkable in their own right. I also have a notable record of dismissals, as a result of search or confession challenges under the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. Most importantly I can be reached 24/7 – I believe that if you spend your money on an attorney you should have access to him at all hours of the day. Therefore, I give all my clients my cell phone number so I can be reached any day at any time. Since 2001, I have devoted my law practice to defending people against criminal charges in Federal and State Court of Florida, concentrating on Broward, Palm Beach and Dade County

I am a shareholder with Berman, Kean & Riguera, P.A. I earned my J.D. at the University Of Miami School Of Law (JD, Magna Cum Laude, 1990), where I was a member of the University of Miami Law Review. I was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990 and have been practicing continuously in South Florida ever since. I am also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. I am rated “AV” by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating awarded by that organization. In addition, I have been selected numerous times for inclusion in Florida Trend Legal Elite magazine, Super Lawyers (Top Attorneys in Florida), and the South Florida Legal Guide - Top Lawyers.. In my 20+ year career, I have successfully handled a wide variety of complex commercial and civil litigation matters for both corporate and individual clients before state and federal courts, as well as arbitration panels. I have also handled numerous appeals at both the state and federal court level. I am a proud Latin American who was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am of Cuban heritage on one side of my family and Venezuelan and Italian on the other side. I am a huge Miami sports fan. Go Fins! Go Heat!. I attended the University of South Florida and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and a minor in History. I then attended Florida International University College of Law where I graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor degree. While at FIU Law, I joined the Trial Team. As a student advocate, I won a State mock trial championship. Since graduating, I have coached the FIU Law Trial Team for at least one competition every year, resulting in multiple State and Regional championships.. Immediately after passing the Bar exam, I started as an Assistant Public Defender with the Miami Dade Public Defender's Office. I worked thousands of criminal cases, ranging from DUIs to violent crimes to sexual crimes. After 3 years as an Assistant Public Defender, I worked 2 years as an Associate at a large Florida criminal defense firm, where I continued to work very serious cases, including alleged Murders and DUI Manslaughters.. I now run my own practice, Duran Defense LLC. I am 11-3 in trial. Most attorneys will not admit to you how many trials they have lost because they are afraid. I am not afraid. As Wayne Gretzky famously and wisely said, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." I have won 78.5% of my trials, many of which seemed like lost causes to my clients when they first retained me. And that number does not account for the dozens of cases I have had dismissed right before trial because the prosecutor or opposing counsel knew of my reputation.
I am a New Jersey native, Massachusetts undergrad, and Nova Law School graduate.. Although many attorneys might primarily use this space to boast of all their successes, of which we are proud to have at Pelosi Injury Law, I would ask that you please take a look at client reviews and attorney endorsements as they speak louder than what I state about myself. Without doubt you will see how dedicated I am to representing injured men, women and children throughout Florida whether they were the victim of a car accident, slip/trip and fall, dog bite, or civil assault and battery.. While attorneys are very limited in what they can promise, what I absolutely guarantee is you the client will be treated with respect, your phone calls/Emails and questions will always be promptly answered the same day, and you will have an attorney that actually cares about you and your pain and suffering instead of looking at you as a case file or a number. I will never rest on the successes of past cases; I will continue to prove myself with each and every case and should you contact me, I will do the same for you, guaranteed.

Hello, my name is Michael Davis, and I thank you for visiting my Avvo profile. I know your time is valuable so here is a brief summary of who we are and how we can help you. If you would like more information, please feel free to browse the remainder of our website. I clerked for David Boone in 1979 while I attended law school. In 1981, we began working together. Over the past thirty-five years, we have represented thousands of clients for all kinds of personal injury claims including medical malpractice, auto, truck, and motorcycle accidents, defective products or product liability claims, slip and falls, playground accidents, theme park accidents and victims of criminal attacks occurring at malls, apartments, clubs and bars. We have handled claims with injuries including traumatic brain injuries, paraplegia, quadriplegia, spinal cord injuries, amputations, blindness, CRPS-RSD, herniated discs, broken bones and more. We are always representing people that have suffered an injury. We are here to serve our clients. Some of our staff has been with us for over twenty years and helps us help our clients. We are proud of our profession and we love our work. We try to make all our clients feel special. We think they are. We are litigators. If the at-fault party fails to offer a fair settlement, we will file suit and prepare the case for trial. (Many personal injury lawyers do not litigate – see the section “Why hire us?” #2). We have technology to assist us in presenting a clear and persuasive case on your behalf. Even when we file suit, most of the cases settle before picking a jury. We know that attorney-client communication is one of the most important aspects of the relationship. We want to speak to our clients and hear from them. We return our calls. I give out my cellphone number to clients that want it. We have over 100 cases that settled or resulted in a jury verdict in excess of one million dollars. Many of these were referred to us from satisfied former clients. We want your case and we want your referrals. We know that it is only through exceeding your expectations that you will refer friends and relatives to our firm. The bottom line-most clients are searching for an attorney that will speak clearly, return calls and advise them of the process and, at the same time, an attorney that can obtain the recovery (money) deserved. We can serve your needs. I started this by stating that I’d be brief, so browse the website, review the videos and feel free to contact me at or call
