The bulk of my practice is in two areas: federal criminal defense, and insurance defense. In my federal criminal practice, I help people who are charged with the following crimes:. I also know how to handle criminal appeals, supervised release violations, and Section 2255 motions for postconviction relief. I have tried numerous cases to verdict. A number of my trials have lasted for multiple weeks and have been designated as "complex" by the federal judiciary. I am a member of the distinguished Criminal Justice Act panel for the Eastern District of Kentucky. This group, which represents indigent defendants upon appointment from the court, consists only of attorneys who really know this area of the law.. Given my experience in representing defendants, I am also equipped to represent victims of crime. I frequently represent companies and individuals who are victims of employee theft. My goal in these cases is to recover the money stolen from my client, which is often in the six figures.. In my insurance defense practice, I regularly represent individuals and businesses pursuant to automobile and commercial policies. These cases range in scope from car wrecks to slip-and-falls to breach of contract disputes, and have given me ample opportunity to hone my skills in the courtroom. On occasion, I will accept Plaintiff's cases. My biggest trial victory so far was in a case where I represented a minority shareholder of a local company who did not receive any of the nearly $6 million in proceeds when the company was sold. We were able to obtain a judgment for the client in excess of one million dollars.

Paul recognizes that when any person is compelled to engage in any form of legal struggle, he or she needs an attorney they can trust to provide honest answers and the best service available to them.. Paul provides personal attention to each case. Each client can be confident that when they hire Paul Hill, they will not find a first year associate or someone they have never met in Court with them. Each client will be fully informed of the issues involved in their case and the case strategy utilized by Paul in order to obtain the best possible result. In the last quarter century, Paul has tried cases to juries in every county in Northern Kentucky, including Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Gallatin, Bracken, Scott, and Fayette counties. He has argued his cases in front of Federal Courts in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Over that time, Paul has established credibility with literally all of the sitting Judges in those counties along with other relevant court personnel.
