I graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, a Concentration in Law and Public Policy, and a Minor in Spanish. From there, I attended Syracuse University College of Law. I served as Executive Editor on the Syracuse Law Review. I graduated cum laude from Syracuse in 2008 with a Juris Doctorate.. After graduation, I moved to Fresno, California. I was hired by Gilmore, Wood, Vinnard & Magness in October 2008. I was admitted to the California bar in December 2008. I met my husband while attending Gonzaga University. He and I were married on campus on October 11, 2008. I am an avid Gonzaga basketball fan and was a cheerleader for Gonzaga during college.. My husband Jobin is a television reporter. He currently works for the ABC affiliate in Dallas, Texas. Before that he worked for the NBC affiliate in Fresno. When he was offered the Dallas job, I was 7 months pregnant with our first child, and we thought the move would be our last chance to do something adventurous before we had kids to care for.. Our son Jonah was born on February 7, 2013. I’m expecting my second, due August 30, 2015.. I have a passion for service and the fight against modern day slavery. While in Fresno, I co-founded and served as pro bono counsel for Central Valley Justice Coalition, an anti-human trafficking organization. I still serve as pro bono counsel for the organization. I also currently serve as the service projects coordinator at my church, organizing multiple monthly service projects throughout the Dallas area.
Aida S. Macedo is a practicing plaintiff's attorney. Previously she was an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow with Central California Legal Services focusing on providing free legal assistance to low-income communities in rural California.
