Born and raised in Austin, I spent ten years in New Orleans where I graduated with a dual Bachelors in Legal Studies and Marketing from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business in 2008. Thereafter I attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2012. Over the next four years, I dabbled in toxic tort and environmental litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense before returning to Texas in 2016 and establishing myself as an administrative/healthcare lawyer with the Leichter Law Firm. A non-native Texan, I grew up in Illinois near St. Louis but moved to Austin for law school and have stayed ever since. My practice primarily focuses on representing health care professionals before various state and federal agencies. I have extensive experience representing physicians, pharmacies, pharmacists, dentists, and nurses before their different licensing agencies. I also routinely represent physicians in credentialing and peer review matters before hospitals and insurance networks. Not afraid to go to court, I have litigated my client's cases through initial complaints, informal conferences, administrative hearings, and all the way to the court of appeals with successful results. At the time of writing (2014), a large part of my practice focuses on physicians, mid-level practitioners, and pharmacies accussed of non-therapeutically prescribing or dispensing pain medication.
