I proudly represent people.. Those charged with crimes ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felonies in Pierce, Kitsap and King counties of Washington State. I opened my practice in Washington in 1994 after practicing in Hawaii. We offer a flat fee on all criminal and traffic infraction cases, tailored to the client's particular charge, court of jurisdiction, and any prior case history. Payment plans are always available.. In addition to criminal cases, I help people cited for speeding and many other traffic infractions. Frequently, these infractions arise from a DUI arrest or related criminal case. Accident cases also can result in an infraction being issued for failing to yield, negligent driving or following too closely.. DUI defense is a large part of my caseload. I have extensive courtroom experience in alcohol and blood test DUI charges. Included in that flat fee is contesting Department of Licensing suspensions and revocations. I also help relicense suspended and revoked drivers including those classified as Habitual Traffic Offenders.. Since 1996 I have been a Pro Tem Judge in Pierce County District Court and several other local municipal courts. Acting as Judge in these matters has given me invaluable insight and perspective on my busy criminal defense practice.. Speeding tickets and other moving infractions are important to keep off a person's driving abstract. We average 100+ contested traffic hearings/year.
I am proud to be a third generation attorney in Pierce County. The profession of lawyering has a long tradition of serving and helping people in need. This philosophy guided my grandfather's and father's practices and it continues to guide mine as well. I started practicing by defending physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. For the last decade, my practice has focused on representing individuals, both in personal injury cases and in all types of estate matters. The practice of law is built on trust. Professional ethics are of utmost importance to me. You can expect me to always be honest with you about your case. In return, I will expect you to be honest with me about the situation. I limit my cases and clients to make sure that each client receives the attention he/she deserves. Because of that, every client benefits from my 29 years of experience. I sincerely thank you for taking time to learn more about my practice. I look forward to hearing from you and about how I might help. You will find my office environment casual and friendly. Our discussion will be held in strict confidence as it is protected by the attorney client privilege.
