Leonard Stamm wrote the book on Maryland DUI Law.  He has been a practicing drunk driving, DUI, DWI, and criminal defense lawyer in the District, Circuit, and appellate courts of Maryland since 1984.  Since 1991, after the death of his partner, Alan J. Goldstein, he has maintained a practice, under the name of Goldstein & Stamm, P.A., in Greenbelt, Maryland, representing individuals accused of crimes and traffic offenses in state and federal courts, primarily in Montgomery (Rockville and Silver Spring), Prince George's (Upper Marlboro and Hyattsville), Howard (Ellicott City), Anne Arundel (Annapolis and Glen Burnie), Calvert (Prince Frederick), Charles (La Plata), and St. Mary's (Leonardtown) counties. Stamm also handles cases in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Caroline (Denton), Frederick, Kent (Chestertown), Queen Anne's (Centreville), and Talbot (Easton) counties, and has handled cases inDorchester, Garrett, Harford, Washington, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.  Stamm handles appeals in the Maryland appellate courts, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.  In early 2004, Andrea Hayduk joined the firm as an associate attorney also focusing on drunk driving, DUI, DWI, and criminal cases in the District, Circuit, and appellate courts of Maryland.  In early 2008, Ms. Hayduk relocated to her home in Tennessee and was replaced by Johanna Leshner.. Stamm isrecognized as an authority in the area of drunk driving defense andMotor Vehicle Administration hearings in Maryland and has lectured andwritten extensively in this area, in Maryland and around the has been a speaker at and has organizednumerous continuing legal education seminars since 1986.  He ispresently a Regent of the National College for DUI Defense, serving on its Amicus Committee,and is former President of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys'Association.  He also serves on the Maryland Criminal Pattern JuryInstruction Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association.  He has had anumber of articles published in the Champion magazine, the magazine of theNational Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been qualified as a practitioner and aninstructor in standardized field sobriety tests inaccordance with standards set forth by the International Association of Chiefsof Police (IACP) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and completed a certification class as an operator and maintenance technicianfor the Intoxilyzer 5000.  He recently hosted a training seminar in the Intox EC/IR.  Stamm holds a certificate of successfulcompletion for the Robert F. Borkenstein Course on "Alcohol, Drugs, andHighway Safety: Testing, Research, and Litigation" based out of IndianaUniversity at Bloomington.  He is one of the few lawyers in the country to have taken a two and a half day overview of the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program.  Martindale-Hubbell gives him an "AV" rating.  He has also been listed in "Super Lawyers" and "Best Lawyers."  In September 2008, the first edition of Stamm's book, Maryland DUI Law, was published by West Publishing Company.. Stamm's philosophy in drunk driving (DUI/DWI) defense is that unless the State is offering a plea that is significantly better than going to trial and losing, there is no good reason to plead guilty and not go to trial.  In drunk driving cases, unlike many other charges in state court, more often then not there is very little if any benefit to pleading guilty.  As a result he prepares every DUI/DWI case for trial.  This is different from the vast majority of other lawyers who will assume they cannot win your case and plead you guilty.

Leonard L. Mr. Lucchi has also proven himself to be an accomplished advocate for County and City governments.  As a former Director of Legislative Affairs for the Prince George’s County Government, Mr. Lucchi is experienced in planning, managing, and implementing a legislative agenda with elected and appointed officials.  In that position, Mr. Lucchi represented various County departments and agencies in order to advance their legislative goals.  Mr. Lucchi is also a former County Attorney for Prince George’s County, and he utilizes his hands-on local government experience to advise and implement resourceful legislative plans for his clients.  Additionally, he served as the County’s Chief Labor Negotiator..
