Mr. Downey was born in Canton, Massachusetts. He attended Noble and Greenough School in Dedham Massachusetts. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. Mr. Arguello attended elementary and junior high school at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Bryan, Texas. He went to three different Texas high schools: A&M Consolidated in College Station, Ball High School in Galveston, and Southwest High School in Fort Worth. Mr. Arguello graduated from Southwest High School a semester early and joined the United States Army Reserves. After completing basic combat training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and advanced individual training in psychological operations at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Mr. Arguello went to the University of Iowa. Although he had to work through college, Mr. Arguello was fortunate enough to receive enough merit scholarships and need-based scholarships and grants to pay for his out of state tuition.. Following a hail storm in Iowa City and while he was working for a temp agency during the summer after his sophomore year, Mr. Arguello was assigned to a State Farm catastrophe office. There, Mr. Arguello began his career in the insurance industry. Through the following years, Mr. Arguello moved from a temporary clerical position at the State Farm storm office to an independent insurance adjuster’s apprentice to being an independent adjuster in his own right. From 1997 to 2005, Mr. Arguello handled over 3,000 property damageinsurance claims as an independent adjuster for such companies as State Farm and USAA..
