I have been practicing law in Texas for more than 35 years, having attained the highest possible ratiing of "AV" from Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys, demonstrating preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards in the practice of law. You can count on my "hands-on" approach to your legal needs and attention to detail not found in all law offices. Quite simply, when you retain my services, you can count on quality work, in addition to my being there for you.
I have been practicing law for over 29 years since being licensed in May 1985. I worked for several law firms for 12 years. I did trial work for every law firm I worked for in both federal, state district, and county courts at law in Harris, Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Liberty Counties in Texas. In 1997, I was hired as an Assistant General Counsel for the Houston Independent School District, and I primarily was responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with employment issues and for terminating certified personnel on written contracts. I did this for 16 years until I left the District in March of 2013.. My practice focuses on business collections and representation, consumer law, employment law, personal injury, and elder law issues. I also provide assistance to business entities involved in personal injury litigation as a Certified Medicare Set-Aside Consultant ("CMSP") and Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional ("CMSPP"). I also assist individuals seeking social security benefits.
I have been practicing law for over 14 years exclusivley in the area of personal injury. I began my career representing the insurance industry in relation to all types of accident from premises liability, auto collision cases and medical malpractice. After learning the defense side of these types of cases for 4 years, I changed my practice to helping those individuals injured as a result of the negligence of others and have been doing so for the past 10 years.. I enjoy helping those who cannot help themselves and do not know what to do when they have been harmed by another individual. I have travelled throughout the state of Texas helping other lawyers in handling personal injury cases.
I have been practicing family law, employment law, criminal law, personal injury, wrongful death, and general litigation in the Houston, Texas area and surrounding counties for over 20 years. Please feel free to visit my website.
I have been practicing family and estate law since 1998 and I am well-versed in the nuances of these areas as well as the courts in Harris and surrounding counties, including but not limited to Fort Bend, Galveston, Brazoria, Montgomery, Liberty, Chambers and Waller. I also practice in outlying counties, like Travis and Hayes County.. I believe in consistent communication with clients to ensure that their expectations and needs are being met 100% of the time, including crafting a detailed strategy for each case and following it diligently until it is resolved.
I have been practicing bankruptcy for the majority of my legal career. In 2016, I co-founded Gordon Lusky, LLP in Houston, Texas. Throughout my practice, I have represented both debtors and creditors. However, I primarily represent debtors and take satisfaction making a difference in my client's lives by relieving the stress related to their debt issues.. I am not a mass filer of bankruptcy cases. I recognize the value of providing individual attention to each client and the specificities of their case. By taking a limited number of cases, I am able to give each client the time and attention they deserve. All of my clients deal directly with me, as opposed to paralegals or other staff.. If you have any questions regarding your situation and whether I can help, give me a call. My initial consultations are free and there is no obligation to move forward.
I have been practice law for over 35 years. For 30 of those years I have been practicing exclusively Bankruptcy Law. Mike, who works with me as a debt relief lawyer and my other son Ryan who works for the Department of Justice. I also have four grandsons who keep me plenty busy.
I have been married for 43 years have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I live in Friendswood, Tx. and have my law office at the same location on North Memorial Way since 1970. I enjoy walking in Memorial Park, fishing, gardening, and spending time at our family retreat in the Texas Hill Country feeding deer, birds, and other wildlife. But the best time I have is spending time with my grandchildren. Additionally I am a long time resident of the Houston area having graduated from Bellaire High School in 1960. I really enjoy helping people with their legal problems and taking on the giant corporations for ordinary people.

I have been a criminal defense lawyer my entire career. I have spent my entire adult life fighting for my clients' rights. For the past 38 years I have defended people accused of crimes ranging from murder to drug conspiracies. I understand that clients accused of a crime want their case dismissed and they want to get back to their lives. I follow a simple philosophy. If a man is not guilty he should plead not guilty and fight for his liberty. It is my job to do everything I can to save my clients' liberty.
I have a wealth of estate planning, elder law experience and estate administration experience, having practiced in these areas for over 15 years.. I work closely with clients to craft estate plans which address their concerns including probate avoidance, tax planning, asset protection and elder law planning. The key to a good estate plan is to tailor the plan to your specific goals and implementing it ahead of time. I have unfortunately worked with many individuals who do not plan ahead, and the family is stuck paying for medical care out-of-pocket or suffering through the long probate process. I can use my broad experience to build an estate plan right for you and your family, serve your goals, help obtain Medicaid to access important long-term care and nursing home benefits, and make the estate administration process as smooth as possible.
I grew up poor but I figured out early on that education was the way out of poverty. I always did well in school and, from the third grade on, I made up my mind I was going to become an attorney and help people. Today, after many years of practice, I still have a burning desire to help the underdog and advance causes of social justice. To me, the accident victim is the underdog in every case. He finds himself in debt with hospital bills, undable to work becauase of his injuries, and yet the adjuster won't even return his calls. I get great satisfaction knowing I can level the playing field and get the adjuster's attention as soon as I enter the case.. When I am not seeking justice for my clients, I am either relaxing at home with my wife, traveling, or doing things with our grown twin daughters. I love to read biographies and have a serious interest in American and Texas history. I also enjoy spending time on my farm, tending to the land and riding and training my horses.
I grew up in North East Texas before coming to Houston to study law. After graduating from law school I began to practice law on my own and have since had the opportunity to help hundreds of clients deal with personal injury matters of all kinds. I truly enjoy what I do.
I grew up in Houston and attended Memorial High School before joining the United States Marine Corps. While enlisted I received my bachelor’s degree from Chapman University in California. I am currently licensed to appear in all courts in Texas and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
I graduated from University of Houston Law School in 2009, and was a recipient of the Public Interest Fellowship in 2006. I clerked in both the public and private sector while in law school. After graduating from University of Houston Law School, I worked as an Associate Attorney for a prestigious defense firm in Houston, Texas for over four years. I have handled cases in both State and Federal Courts. My litigation experience includes cases invovling breach of contact, shareholder oppression, shareholder rights, employment, general tort litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability litigation, trucking litigation as well as first party insurance litigation in which both contractual and extra-contractual causes of action have been asserted against insurance carriers. I also am on the board of directors for a credit union located in Sugar Land, Texas.
I graduated from Concordia University at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology. I went on to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where I participated in moot court activities. Soon after graduation, the Intense Trial Advocacy program at the University of Notre Dame Law School invited me to participate, which taught me invaluable trial skills and techniques. I have since been honored with an invitation from Notre Dame to assist in the very same program, and look forward to giving back to an initiative in which I strongly support.. During the California-based American Board of Trial Advocates Conference, I served as a witness in an ABOTA seminar. This was a huge honor as only the best of the best attorneys receive invitations to participate in this prestigious event.. In my first year of practice, I played an integral role in obtaining 18 million dollars in settlements for our firm which includes two wrongful death claims and four premises liability claims.. In the summer of 2014, I was honored with an invitation to attend the ABOTA National Trial College, in which I successfully attended and completed.. I focus exclusively on helping clients [individuals & businesses] resolve their consumer protection matters.
I focus 100% of my practice on criminal defense, particularly in Harris County and the surrounding counties of Texas. Criminal defense is a field of law that is particularly interesting to me because of its significance to the everyday life of United States citizens. Criminal defense lawyers represent the blockade between an encroaching government and the privacy of the people living under its rule. I take pride in defending the rights and liberties of my fellow Texans, and I will stand firm and aggressive in the face of those who seek to encroach upon those rights.
I firmly believe in defending our constitutional rights. I am a Texan through and through. Please let me fight for you.
I enjoy my passion for law and helping companies with their legal needs. When I am not practicing law, I enjoy time with family, nonprofit work, travel and participating in local cook offs with my husband.
I enjoy helping people. As a lawyer, especially a criminal defense lawyer, we must always remember that the client comes first. That means diligent, competent and zealous representation. I've tried many cases and handled all types of criminal matters. I looked forward to helping you, your loved ones or referrals.
