William "Bill" Treas is the managing partner and a founding member of Nielsen & Treas, LLC. In addition, Mr. Treas has been involved in mass joinder cases, False Claims Act suits, and has defended law enforcement in Section 1983 claims. He has represented numerous insurance companies participating in the National Flood Insurance Program across the country for over 20 years.. Mr. Treas is active in his community and donates his time and efforts to local organizations including Cub Scouts, Scouts of America, the Knights of Columbus, and coaching. He is an Eagle Scout and the proud father of two Eagle Scouts with one more to go. Mr. Treas is also a classic car enthusiast and enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, backpacking, and tailgating at LSU football and baseball games.. Tom Richard was a founding member of our firm. Tom completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in 1979. He graduated from Loyola Law School in 1983, where he was a member of the Law Review. Tom was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1983 and was admitted to practice before all Louisiana federal courts in 1984. He was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 1993, and to the Texas Bar in 2011. He has litigated and tried cases in state and federal district courts throughout Louisiana. He has also handled and argued cases in multiple Louisiana appellate courts, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the Louisiana Supreme Court. Tom has extensive experience in all facets of insurance defense litigation, including property and casualty, first party and extra-contractual liability, admiralty and maritime, construction defect, professional liability and coverage disputes.

Guy graduated from Duke University in 1985 (B. S. in Biology) and received his J.D. degree from Tulane University Law School in 1990. He began working as a law clerk for the Duplass Firm in 1989. He regularly defends product liability suits involving automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, and various other products. He also regularly defends healthcare professionals in medical malpractice litigation. Guy is married with two children.. As member of the Louisiana State Bar, Guy is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts; the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
