Prior to becoming a partner at Smart, Connell, Childers & Verhulp, PS in 2009, the bulk of my practice was insurance defense litigation for over 10 years.  I also had the privilege in working in lawfirms that did everything but family or criminal law so was able to obtain experience in a number of areas of law before focusing my practice to personal injury claims and litigation.  Since 2009, I have been blessed to be able to focus my practice on helping injured people.  This includes car accidents, wrongful death, head injuries and even on-the-job injuries.  I look forward to many more years of helping people in my community when tragedy strikes.

In 2005 I graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga Law School. After working for a year as a prosecutor, I have been practicing in civil litigation since 2006 where I focus primarily on helping individuals and families affected by injuries caused by others.  I have been a trial attorney my entire legal career, first prosecuting crimes, then as an insurance defense attorney, and now representing people injured by the negligence of others. I currently handle persona injury cases in Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, Walla Walla, and the Yakima valley.

I grew up in the Tri-Cities and believe it is a great place to raise a family.  Helping others is a life lesson installed in me by my mother from the time I was a small child.  I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching youth sports and serving in the community.
