Mr. Stokes was born in Cherry Pointe, North Carolina on January 4, 1977. Mr. Stokes moved to Boston, Massachusetts shortly after his birth and his father’s Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps. Mr. Stokes and his family resided in Boston until they moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he began his primary education. Mr. Stokes graduated from Christian Brothers High School. Mr. Stokes then obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, and he also studied Italian and architecture abroad in Urbino, Italy. Mr. Stokes then attended law school in Nashville at Vanderbilt University and graduated in 2006. While in law school Mr. Stokes worked and clerked for the Law Offices of James A. Flexer, Law Offices of Hiland, Mathis, & Urquhart and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. After these endeavors, Mr. Stokes passed his Bar Exam on the first attempt and subsequently was admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee in 2007. Mr. Stokes was later admitted to practice in the United States District Court for Tennessee (Eastern District) in 2009 and in the United States District Court for Tennessee (Western District) in 2010.. K.O. Herston was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Tennessee Law Review. He quickly fell in love with East Tennessee and decided to make his home in Knoxville. He has been practicing law in Knoxville for 18 years.. Before his knees started refusing to cooperate, K.O. was an avid endurance athlete who raced in five marathons, including those in New York City, Los Angeles, and Paris (France).
