Born and raised in southern California.  Came to Las Vegas to attend law school at UNLV in 2010 and have called it home ever since.  Bought a fixer-upper and enjoy DIY projects in my spare time.  My wife and I have four children together. Amy M. Friedlander joined Black & LoBello in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Teuton of the Eighth Judicial District Court – Family Division.. Ms. Friedlander graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach in 2004, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in psychology. As an undergraduate, Ms. Friedlander received the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Scholarship for Academic Excellence in September 2003 and the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award in Political Science in May 2004.. Ms. Friedlander received her Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 2008. After her first year of law school, she worked as a summer associate for Christiansen Law Offices, where she worked on personal injury, medical malpractice, and criminal defense cases. Also, while in law school, she served as an extern to the Honorable Kent J. Dawson of the United States District Court, District of Nevada. Furthermore, she spent three semesters working as a student attorney as part of William S. Boyd School of Law’s Child Welfare Clinic, representing numerous foster children and successfully conducting a trial on a petition to terminate parental rights.. Ms. Friedlander was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in October of 2008. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Clark County Bar Association.

After spending my first few years gaining experience in a top notch firm I've branched off and started my own company: Fortress Law & Realty. My aim has been to create a company which can provide a variety of legal and real estate services specializing in all areas that fall in between these two major industries.. My education at the University of Nebraska College of Law included a certificate of special emphasis in real estate transactions. As an Attorney, I have been involved in contested probate, trust, and guardianship matters. I have also participated extensively in preparing and litigating contested issues before the Nevada 8th Judicial District Probate Court and Family Court. I also have experience in business litigation, creditor negotiations, probate sales, and settlement proceedings.. My wife and I have moved between many states throughout the course of our education including Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska. After spending years transitioning between so many different homes, my family and I were pleasantly surprised to find Las Vegas an ideal place for us to finally put down roots.. I have two young daughters with whom I enjoy spending as much of my time as possible. Outside of work I unwind by reading, expanding and enjoying an already extensive movie collection, and finding new ways to enjoy the outdoors with my family.
